Bad Choice for Video Pros

I purcahsed this thinking it would simplify the process of taking still frames from videos we do for the client website. However, it will not open a ProRes video file without locking up the whole machine. I confirmed with the developer that “it doesn’t work with large video files”. I guess 10 gigs is considered too large. I’m not sure why file size would be a limiting factor aside from poorly written code.

The idea behind this is good, but it falls flat on execution. It’s more of a consumer “toy” than a pro “tool”. I’m hoping a future version is more polished.
